In "Rivers of Hope" is a familiar and harmonious atmosphere. Rooms for rent are completely independent on the first floor with access to a large terrace with ornamental plants and balcony overlooking the street. Each room has separate bathroom with hot and cold water, air conditioning, ceiling fan, a double bed and a single. On the terrace guests can read, listen to music, dance and rest quietly We own certificate of excellence portal "Cuba-Junky". The security level is very high. In the house we live 4 professionals: 1 Master in Chemical Sciences (Hope), a mathematician (Aristides), both graduates of the Moscow State University MB lomonosov a Telecommunications Engineer and Master of Science (Frank Emilio) and a college student the 5 th year of Computer Science (José Gabriel). The whole family is fluent in Spanish and English, and Russian parents dominate.

Esperanza e la sua famiglia sono stati il nostro primo impatto con Cuba. La loro piena disponibilità, la loro spontaneità, il loro calore e i loro sorrisi sono stati il miglior benvenuto che ci potessimo mai aspettare. La sua casa è veramente accogliente e le colazioni favolose! La sua terrazza è sorprendentemente colorata all'ora di colazione e fresca quando si torna stanchi la sera. Il valore aggiunto è la centralità della sua abitazione a due passi dalle principali piazze di La Habana. Grazie di cuore da tutti 8!!!

We did not stay with Esperanza. She had us stay with Enrique. He was so wonderful to us. The apartment was clean and freshly painted. We started everyday with him making a wonderful breakfast and at that time we would visit and he would help plan our day and make any arrangements that we needed assistance with. Including taking me to the hospital when I became ill. He stayed with me and translated my symptoms to the emergency doctor. He made us comfortable and made us very welcome. We enjoyed his company and are working at trying to get the bugs worked out so that we can have him and his brother visit us in the US. His dedication and compassion made our trip extra special. We look forward to meeting up with him again.

We did not stay at Esperanza's place because it was already busy at her own place, we knew that. She had offered us an accomodation to a friend of her, Consuelo. Very nice woman, excellent experience, very clean and confortable room, excellent breakfast. But our experience with Esperanza had the feeling it was only about money. She came to meet with us when we arrived, she explained how it worked, explained different things to visit and wanted to offer us the ride to go back. But she did find a transportation for us from the airport to La Havane but the price she charged us was way more expensive than the normal price for than itinary. During our stay, we checked around for different transportations to go back and it was 30% cheaper than she had charged us ... and we were not going back to the airport but to an hotel in Varadero. The ride was longer than the one to Esperanza's place but it cost us 30% cheaper!!

We arrived in Havana at 22h30 and made our way to Esperanza's house. We were then told that we had been moved to another house not far away. The quality of the room was not at all the same as what we expected and we had to walk up 8 flights of stairs. We did not stay with Esperanza at all, we were changed houses without any warning or explanation from Esperanza. Nous sommes arrivés à la Havane à 22h30. En arrivant chez Esperanza, sont fils nous a informé que nous avions été changé de maison. Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre moins jolie et au 8ième étage, sans ascenseur. Nous ne sommes pas resté chez Esperanza; nous avons été changé de maison sans préavis et sans explication.

Reservamos con Esperanza, pero no pudimos alojarnos en su casa, debido a que su hostal estaba completo. No obstante, ella mantiene contacto con otras casas de alojamiento vecinas, por lo que nos contactó con Yolanda, que fue donde alojamos. Agradecemos a Esperanza, ya que por ella pudimos conocer a Yolanda, con quien tuvimos una estadía extraordinaria en La Habana. Yolanda es una persona de enorme calidad humana, muy acogedora y ofrece una habitación de excelente calidad. Tenemos los mejores recuerdos de ella y cuando volvamos a La Habana indudablemente nos quedaremos en su casa.

Esperanza’s beautiful casa is situated in the heart of the exciting, breathtaking and crazy center of Havanah, close to all the interesting sights,buildings and museums. Also the many bars and restaurants where even on weekday mornings that enticing Cuban music is being played are nearby. We spent 3 days in the city, before going out exploring many other parts of Cuba, and loved every minute of it. The only advice we want to give when you are planning to visit Havana; do not forget to bring some earplugs. The traffic noise produced by the thousands old American cars, hooting busses, taxis etc. is painful to the ears. We found the Cuban people friendly and welcoming but Esperanza must be the warmest and friendliest of them all! She went out of her way to make ourselves feel welcome and comfortable. When we had some difficulties with our credit card she took us to a specialized office in the outskirts of the city where the problem was instantly solved and after which we were able to withdraw the local Cuc’s from our account again. Later again, when we were trying to find out if our reservations for the flights home were confirmed she showed us the right way and place to do this. In other words; Esperanza is a lovely,perfect hostess! Claude and Frans Felix

We were 6 persons having the honour to stay in the house of Esperanza. We could never have had a better choice. We were well recieved late in the evening, we had typical, colourful cubanian rooms, and the beds were pleasant with quite hard mattresses. Perfect for me, having a bad back. Every morning we had a plentiful breackfast, with a lot of fruit among all. Esperanza made a unexpectedly well job in showing us where to og in Havana, and she organized the rest of our Journey in a way that we had an event of the lifetime. She ordered rooms for us in Varadero, Trinidad and playa de Giron, and she even ordered taxis for each distance! The situation of the house is near everything you can see in the old town, we could easily walk within short time. Both Esperanza, her husband and the rest of the people working for her, met us with kindness, thoughtfullness and humour, and they talked well English. Esperanza was a wonderful host, as was her husband. The rooms are in a separate area upstairs. The bedroom is large and very comfortable with your own washroom and shower. The seating area outside the bedroom is covered and is a great place to relax before breakfast and anytime during the day. The breakfast was amazing, we could not eat all the fresh fruit so we would save it for an afternoon snack. The location is perfect for touring Havana. It is a short walk to the Capitol building and the Malecon. My wife and I spent 4 lovely nights here and will stay here again on our next trip to Havana. The room and seating area were very clean. There are some great restaurants just a block away for lunch or dinner. Esperanza and her husband shared helpful tips about places to see and find in Havana.

We were a group of 5 and we stayed in Havana for 3 days. Esperanza's house is well located between the Old and New Havana so everything you want to see is at your door step. The house is very clean and the bedrooms spotless. Esperanza is an amazing host, she will help you to organise your trip if you need it, book taxis and other casas particulares. If you are lucky enough you can meet Jessica and Denis, she will prepare you delicious breakfasts and he will be your life-saver. We couldn't make a better decision booking this place!
