The family is a charming group! And the house is astonishing! Although it is quite far from the city center, I can assure you that they did their best to take care of us. A 10/01 rating!

We stayed 6 nights with Xiong and Sarah. They have a large and beautiful house in a secure and high-end community. The house itself is very bright and comfortable; both of them tried to make our stay pleasant. Their daughter was very lively; and made friends with us easily. However, as prospective guests, you need to know that is not your usual downtown airbnb type host. The location is very far from central Beijing (an hour by subway; albeit close to the airport) and hiking into town as a tourist everyday can wear you down. The hosts are themselves not fully ready to host. There was no change of sheets or room cleaning for 6 days; be ready to bring your own towels and toilet paper (!). Her parents also live with them and language can be a barrier. The small single room is nothing but a glorified servant's quarter. The positives are (i) great suburban neighborhood (ii) both of them make a great effort to make you feel comfortable, and (iii) lovely, large house.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay with Sarah and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. On our last day, she even invited us to have lunch with her and her family.

? Sarah was wonderful she picked us up at the airport and had a wonderful smile on her face. The next day she arranged transportation for us and helped us with directions and gave us access to her kitchen. We felt at home in her house and enjoyed her daughter Alice and husband. Sarah is a very special lady she also took us back to the airport and Saw us to the counter until our luggage was gone. I will definitely recommend staying with Sarah I really loved this family. My husband and I want to thank her very much for an amazing vacation.
