I am retired. I own a 3bedroom, 2 bath, 1200 square foot home in lakewood, CA. I live there with my 2 rescue dogs and also occasionally foster for some of the local rescues. I don't drink, smoke or party. Occasionally I entertain and have friends over for dinner or a bbq. My room is on the opposite part of the house from the room that is available, so there is alot of privacy for both parties. In addition to the newly furnished room with tv and patio access that is available, there is a remodeled private bathroom. There is also a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee machine and refrigerator for the guests use only. The front and backyard, patio area, bbq and laundry room are the only shared spaces. There's street parking available except on Wednesday mornings from 8:00 until noon when the street sweeper comes.. There is a 10 speed bicycle with a basket or a beach cruiser with a basket, available for guests at an additional charge of $2 per day or $50 per month.

Jille was a great host and her dogs are really cute! She has all the amenities you could want including your own bathroom. I highly recommend staying with her!

It was a really great experience! I enjoyed my stay with Jill a lot. She is such a lovely and friendly lady always willing to help whenever you need help. The dogs are very cute and love to hang out on the couch with you. But even if you don't want to spend time with the dogs, there is a small fence between the living room and the room, that you can close so the dogs don't enter your room. The room is fully furnished and has a closet so you will have enough space to store your stuff. It also has its own bathroom. The house also has a really nice patio and yard where you can sit and hang out. As the two rooms are on two different sides of the house everybody has his privacy. The house is in a really calm and friendly neighborhood but you have a lot to do in walking distance. The next bus station is in 5-10 Minutes walking distance. There is a shopping mall, a supermarket and a lot of different restaurants in walking distance too. By car you need 10-20 Minutes to the beach and 30-35 Minutes to Downtown LA. Long Beach Airport is 10 Minutes away and also LAX is less than 30 Minutes away. All in all it was a really great experience and I recommend everybody to stay with Jill and the little Yorkies :)
