Welcome to Kingston upon Hull

Hi, we are Ian and Belinda and we welcome you to stay in our home. An evening meal and light breakfast is included in our price, plus free WIFI. There is also a shared lounge/dining room, where meals can be taken with your hosts. As well as accommodation only, we offer English language tuition for overseas students, ( we are both fully qualified TEFl teachers). We can help with exam preparation, IElTs, Cambridge and ESB etc, as well as general English only. Please contact us for prices. Being in an immersive language environment, you will get ample opportunity for instant practice with your hosts and also with the wider local population, (Yorkshire people are regarded as being very friendly and willing to talk!). Our home is conveniently situated for easy access to the city centre, with its numerous shops, museums, pubs and restaurants. We are 15-20 walk from the University and the student hotspots of Newland and Princes Avenue where you will find small independent boutiques, gift shops and a lively pub scene, (especially during term time), and a good selection of cafes and restaurants offering international cuisine. For those who would like a quieter stay, Hull offers many parks and is also on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Wolds (captured on canvas by David Hockney). Hull is Yorkshire's only maritime city with easy access to the beautiful Yorkshire coast and the cities of York and leeds.

My 10 days at Ian and Belinda's home felt like 10years. I gained a FAMILY. They treated me beyond being a guest. Each day they ensured I was well. The breakfast and dinner were superb. I called their residence HOME, and each time I went out, I was eager to return. I will definitely recommend their home to anyone who needs a peaceful, and safe home in Hull. Oh, they have a lovely and friendly pet Apollo - best cat ever. I took pictures with my host, and will keep them forever. Thanks Ian and Belinda.

Ian and Belinda made me feel so secure and comfortable. They have a lovely warm and quiet home and I enjoyed talking and laughing and eating dinner with them. The facilities were very nice and I appreciated the space of a guest lounge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their home to others.

Such a friendly and welcoming couple - even though I wasn't around for when they all had tea together Belinda made me a lovely salad and kept it in the fridge for me. Cosy room too, very clean. Perfect stay, looking forward to staying with them again!

Lovely and welcoming atmosphere, the house and the rooms are very homely, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is very clean, the area is quiet, a bus stop is nearby, the breakfast is good and the dinners are delicious, Ian and Belinda are very caring, friendly and hospitable people, I can really recommend to book their home.
