Our small family consists of my dear wife and myself who live in a 4 bed room apartment. 2 rooms are for us and the remaining 2 rooms are let out on Homestay. The home is tastefully done with American furniture but an Indian color & feel. The street round the corner boasts of all the restaurants, cafes that one can think of. The Market, Railway station and the cab station is also in the vicinity. It is about 8 kilometers from the City Center. The Sea and the Sagar islands can be reached by car which takes about 2 hours

I stayed with Mahesh and his wife Roma at beginning of February 2015 and found them to be very friendly and welcoming. It was a true 'homestay' in that I ended up meeting their daughter and little granddaughter! Roma is a wonderful cook. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay. Regards Paramjit

Our hosts were wonderful: caring, attentive and knowledgeable. They provided hassle-free pick ups and send offs to airport and railway, and tours tailored to our particular preferences. Kolkata is a daunting place, especially for senior citizens like ourselves, but our homestay experience inspired us to extend our planned stay and we experienced the city and surroundings with all the insights and efficiencies that only local knowledge can provide. Thoroughly enjoyable. Mahesh and Roma's lovely home provided rest and sanctuary when we needed it. We opted for Roma's home cooked meals which were superb, providing us with fresh, healthy, safe food of outstanding quality. We now consider them good friends and unreservedly recommend their homestay.

Homestay very good indeed and very welcoming family. Extras such as help with driver and tourist visits very overpriced. Stay itself correctly priced.
