largest and Best lake Community!
Features: • TV • Computer • Barbecue • Bikes for use • Internet Access • Smoke Alarm • laundry • Garden • Parking • Gym at home
Brand new house, good energy, always tidy, clean and peaceful. The neighbourhood is called Mahogany in the far SE quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is the largest and most desirable private lake community around. Beautifully appointed private bedrooms with top-quality "Dormeo" brand queen-size or single mattresses that are so comfortable, that many guests don't want to leave lol. There are two living rooms (only the smaller upper floor pictured as there is a photo limit), each with a large flat-screen TV, 2 desk areas with high-speed wifi. There are air purifiers on each floor, and AC in bedrooms seasonally. Feel free to play the piano (electric full-size piano with headphone option so no one can hear you lol), or the acoustic guitar. There's exercise equipment and yoga mats available as well. If you rent a vehicle, there is off-street parking just a few steps from the back door. There are private, full bathrooms (one with a shower/tub, the other with a large glass-walled shower) for 2 of the 3 guest rooms. Typically all 3 bedrooms do not get booked in the same time frame. This ensures you will have a private full bathroom. We have our routines and places to be in the week and can keep to ourselves, but we'd also be happy to chat or include you in our evenings and weekends! Extra bikes are available for you as we have 22 km of paved pathways outside our front door. They run through Mahogany, including through a huge wetlands area. These pathways will also connect you to the bordering communities, the South Health Campus hospital, Cineplex theatre, shops, gyms, grocery stores, cafes (such as Tim Horton's), fast food, high-end dining, rooftop dining options, pubs, multiple playgrounds, art studios, spas, etc. The main and west beaches are a few blocks away so go for a paddle (free SUP or kayak rentals). The world's largest YMCA recreational facility is just down the pathway. It's home to a library, an Olympic-sized diving pool with viewing bleachers, a regulation-size hockey (and public skating) rink, a huge exercise area, an indoor rock climbing wall, a warm salt water public swimming pool with water slides, a lazy river, and wading pool area. I'm working on a degree in Acupuncture with my doctorate in TCM, so I commute to the NW on weekdays from Sept to July, and my daughter is in school Sept to June so if you want to commute with me, you can. The local Mahogany bus goes to the Somerset train station that runs to downtown (or the University etc in the north). My college is right beside Banff Trail C-train station if you would like a ride to that station. Then it's only 2 minutes by train to the UofC or SAIT. Then you can meet me back at my school to go "home", or take the train to Somerset station and a bus to Mahogany. It's not necessary to rent a car. My daughter attends a bilingual Spanish school. We are native English speakers at home but enjoy learning other languages. We enjoy life with a mix of being active (such as paddling, cycling, skiing on a winter Friday afternoon, yoga, walking, scootering, and swimming) or doing something creative (such as practicing music, drawing, or making a craft) or doing something interactive and fun (board games, dice, chess, baking, art, movies, etc). Saturdays are typically days to get out of the city vibe (Banff, local acreages converted to markets, Drumheller, etc). Or enjoy the warm (or frozen solid) water of our huge neighbourhood lake, just a few blocks away.
