Its a 3lDK (67.5m2) apartment, which is on the 16th floor. 2 minutes from the station. Very convenient for anything and everything. Ogikubo Station has 4 lines, which is very convenient to get to most places, JR Chuo/Sobu, and metro Marunochi /Tosai lines. It takes 10 minutes to Shinjuku. looking for someone Friendly, Responsible, Mature, Neat, and Tidy (non-smoking, no parting). The apartment is well maintained and has good security. All rooms have good sunshine and a good view. Very quiet environment. Two/three people could share the big room for an extra charge (sleeping on futons). I have hosted people from Australia, Austria, France, Japan, Singapore , South Africa, Turkey, Sweden, UK, Germany.... And a few people through Homestay.com since 2023. I have made good memories with them. I am pretty much new to this site. About me I am Juanella but most people call me Jean. I have been living in Japan for the past 35 years. I have one daughter who is living in the UK right now. I teach at High School and I have private classes at home. I love cleaning but cooking not so much. My hobby is going to Japanese festivals. I am allergic to PERFUME, TOBACCO & MIlK. Please read through the RUlES section! Cheers Jean

My stay at Juanella was fantastic! It was very clean home, situated at a very good place close to railwaystation. Jean is a very nice and generous host. I strongly recommend her and will definately try to stay with her again next time I visit Tokyo.

If you're looking for a hostess who cares for you and ensures you've had dinner, Jean is the person you're looking for. With incredible insights into Japanese culture, a quick wit and a comforting word, Jean really makes you feel at home in her warm, cosy apartment that overlooks Ogikubo and gives one a wide view of the tremendous Mount Fuji. Jean also makes sure that your necessities in Japan are catered for. She even allowed my partner to stay with over for a night when we miscalculated the train-end times. During my stay here Jean taught me about the many Japanese systems and how to get acquainted to them. She also pointed out shops that sold reasonably price clothes, stores that sold a variety of spices and stores that sold furniture in case we decide to be residents in Japan. Like a fairy Jean, would point out the most colourful festivals to delight our senses. I truly got to experience Japan staying with her.

Jean was a lovely host! Her place was neat, tidy, and in a great location. She's hospitable and easy to make conversation with, not to mention always willing to offer advice. When I came down with a sore throat and felt sick, she made me ginger tea and gave me medicine until I felt better. Jean puts the 'home' in homestay :)

Jean is a warm, friendly and hospitable host. Her cosy apartment on the 16th floor in Ogikubo even offers views across Tokyo to Mt Fuji! I arrived in time for Sakura, the first cherry blossom blooming and Jean took me out on a wonderful walk to the best viewing and picnic spots nearby. The location is perfect, in a quiet back street close to the station so it is quick and easy to get to the centre of Tokyo. My bed was so comfy and I had everything I needed. Jean was respectful of my privacy but was also up for fun conversations and was especially helpful in giving tips and directions for getting around the city. I feel really lucky to have found Jean on Homestay. It felt like a home away from home. Def recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is exactly like in the pictures. Waking up almost every morning with the view of Mount Fuji is a great addition. Everything you need can be find in the house and everything is neat and clean. Ogikubo is a nice residential area where you have everything you need while being a quiet and nice. It’s a great place, especially if you want to explore Tokyo.
