located in rural north east Thailand, this beautiful wood house allows you to experience the real Thai culture. Situated between the village temple and lake Nong Na Saeng, this is truly a peaceful place. The house itself simply comprises of a veranda, bedroom and en-suite. Relax in the hammock and watch the locals fishing on the lake, listen to the monks going about their daily rituals, and enjoy the exotic tastes of Isaan food. Your host lives in the adjacent house, which is also the restaurant where local people enjoy authentic Isaan food. Your stay with us is all about interacting with the locals and cultural exchange What makes Ban Rim Nam unique is its position, overlooking the lake Nong Na Saeng. The house is located in the tiny rural village of Potak, with rice farming the main activity. The people of the village are friendly, outgoing, and curious about travelers. You can make friends easily here–expect to be in a lot of pictures Getting around Nakhon Phanom is a one hour flight away from Bangkok and we offer complimentary airport transfer. Ban Rim Nam is about 10 minutes away from Nakhon Phanom airport. Ban Rim Nam is "off the beaten track". The best way to get around is by car and there are many places to rent a car at the airport or in the city. However, if you don't feel comfortable driving in Thailand we are more than happy to take you to the city or nearby places The city of Nakhon Phanom is about 20 minutes away by car. Seeing the city is easy to do by bicycle. There is a bike trail that follows the 12 km from the city along the Mekong River to the Thai-laos Friendship Bridge border. Tuk-tuk's are also abundantly available in the city
