BangBao on first impression can look at bit chaotic and untidy but as you walk through the main path there are stalls, shops and restaurants on either side of the pier selling the usual Thai bits and pieces but also a few nice handmade/ artistic curio's, the locals are friendly and will remember and greet you if you are staying in nearby resorts for a few days. The end of the pier has the day trip boats and a lighthouse and also some great views of the islands around it. Koh Chang as an island has some truly lovely spaces.
