Welcome to my home in Sakai, Japan! I accept both short and long term guests. My name is Yoko . I am a teacher of music and study. I can also teach Japanese . If you want home stay and Japanese lessons, please ask me the details.The cost will be much less than Japanese language school. I work at my home only several hours in the afternoon and evening. Sakai is between Kansai airport and Osaka. It is within 30 min. to Nanba . it is famous for the world's largest grave where the "Nintoku Emperor" is buried. It is also famous for Sennorikyu (Founder of the Tea Ceremony), Shimano bicycles and Kitchen knife. At my home you can also experience calligraphy, kimono, tea ceremony and other exciting Japanese cultural activities(for example 'Zazen' at near temple each sunday morning.).I love travel and planning travel.So I would like to help you your travel is more exciting and interesting.Please ask me anything. If you do a long term stay (for example >1months) I can lend a room . It is very difficult for forigners to rent a room in Japan if you cannot understand Japanese.Please feel free to contact me. it was good, yoko maked delisious lunch or dinner if she have time, I lived there for two weeks.

Yoko is a very nice person with warm heart.We chatted and had dinner together.We became friends.I also met very nice roommate!It was an interesting encounter. The house is sweet and comfortable.A wonderful week to be in Yoko’s house!

Yoko-san is a very nice and lively person. Sadly, during my stay she had a lot of work to do, so she wasn't always available, but everytime she was free, she was taking time to make a meal for me so we could share it together, despite her being probably very tired and we spent nice evenings together. I also met some of her friends at home which are very nice too. She does many different things and when I saw she was also a piano teacher I asked her if she could show me some basics and she gladly did it, even though I was a total beginner. Yoko-san's home is 30 meters away from the tram station, so it's neat. There are also konbinis and a supermarket close to the home, as well as a small street food shop who sells takoyaki and okonomiyaki for very cheap, so I definitely recommend it.

This is the second time that we have stayed with Yoko and as always we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile and were made to feel at home as soon as we walked in through the front door. Yoko made breakfast for us everyday which was delicious, she also helped us plan some days out when we were undecided and didn't know what to do and gave us some ideas of where to go. On the second to last full day that we spent in Japan, we went with Yoko to a restaurant with some friends. We went to a vegetarian restaurant as we are vegetarians. Yoko was really helpful with making a booking reservation for the restaurant and helping us to find the right place. The food was really nice. We would definitely recommend staying with Yoko to anyone that wants to make a really great friend. We have made a lifelong friend with Yoko and when we come back to Japan, we will definitely be staying with Yoko again. Thank you Yoko.

Just like the first time I stayed with Yoko, a really comfortable place, attentive and polite host. The location is a bit far from Osaka center, but still accessible within 1 hour. Also, the food is excellent! the best home-made food!

Yoko is a wonderful person. He made breakfast and dinner for me many times and she did the laundry so I had a lot of time to explore Osaka and Nara thanks to her, also her food tastes delicious. She helps a lot giving advice for your trips. I will always recommend her as host, she is so kind and talk with her is also very enjoyable. I wish we can meet again in the future. Thanks for everything.

I stayed at Yoko‘s house for 4 days and it has been a wonderful time. Yoko has been an amazing host, giving advices for my trip, providing a tea ceremony and calligraphy workshop and making breakfast every morning. In the evening we enjoyed having dinner together. She speaks good english, too. The house is very clean and cozy, it really felt like home for these few days. I totally recommend to stay at Yoko‘s house and would love to come back the next time I come to Osaka :)
