It was not what I expected from the reviews. The location was fine and the bedrooms clean and comfortable. However, the rest of the casa and especially the terrace was not kept up. Also, I had specifically chosen a casa where, according to the reviews, we could get information and help about the surrounding area, but Jose Aquiles was not there which made things quite challenging and unsettling. The woman in charge was friendly enough, but not really helpful. We had a wonderful time in Santiago despite the casa.

Decir que es fantástico es poco. Cómo anfitrión no pudimos tener uno mejor. Desayunos exquisitos, charlas memorables.Realmente ha sido un plcer conocerlo y si volviera no dudaría en elegirlo. Su casa es tal cual aparece en las fotos.

The best part was the roof terrace and being near the carnival. Jose picked me up from the airport . He Was patient and calm - be warned - prepared for a really hot climate. it was my second time in Santiago to Cuba although previously I stayed in a different homestay.

We had a good stay at the casa! We liked the interior design and the room was nice and clean. We only thought the shower was a bit scary (it overheated once). From the rooftop terrace (during breakfast) there was a nice view over Santiago. Also, the casa was conveniently located.

Jose runs a beautiful casa. His whole family is into arts and music, and his whole house breathes artistry. Great location in Santiago, close to the famous 'Padre Pico Steps'. Breathtaking view from the roof terrace over the bay and the harbor, where breakfast is served. Jose and his wife are warm people who make you feel like home.

Jose and Mercedes were very kind and welcoming to us. Their home is clean and beautiful and the breakfast is made with love, which makes it delicious. We ended up staying longer than planned. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Great place to stay! Room was clean, with airconditioning and everything we needed. Great breakfast on the roof terrace, with a nice view. Jose and his wife are the best, they are very friendly, helpfull and talkative. We had a perfect stay here.
