Hello, welcome to "MY house" it is your house, it is an apartment in a 4-story building, 5 minutes from the walled center, monuments, entertainment: cultural and social, restaurants, beaches, churches, shopping centers, in front of the apartment there is a language school (Spanish, German, French, English, Portuguese) etc. I live with my daughter, she works, I have experience for many years hosting foreigners, especially those who come to study Spanish in Cartagena de Indias, from the European, Asian, North, South and Central American continents where the basic language is English or Portuguese, German, etc. It is a wonderful experience, kind, happy, and positive people come home, eager to learn about our culture and language, next to the building there is a supermarket and diagonally another supermarket. 2 blocks away is a beautiful bay with a view of Bocagrande. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, I try to make it energetic, included in the accommodation package along with laundry. There is a small refrigerator, which is to be shared between the two rooms where I receive lodging. It is a safe, quiet place, where you can go out for a walk during the day and at night, easy means of transport. You can use the kitchen, leaving it clean as soon as you finish, if you wish. Today, 2024, we have a high increase in energy consumption, therefore the air conditioning service is rationed, but if you want more time for this service, additionally, the hours you need are sold.

I do not believe you can find a better hostess than Carmen. She literally does so much for me she is a true blessing and I appreciate her greatly. I consider her a sister, my sister. Thank you very much Carmen if I could I would give 20 Stars for your hospitality

La casa de Carmen is a warm and welcoming home for students and travelers. The apartment is part of a small apartment complex in Manga with a gate and security. It is a neighborhood of families, children and grandparents - only a 15' walk to el centro and a 10' walk to the popular neighborhood of Getsamaní. Located on the 4th floor of the apartment complex it offers an incredible view of the skyline especially the highest point of the city - el Convento de la Popa. The apartment is clean, spacious with accommodations that include either a shared room or private room. The students share a bathroom. Connecting with other students or tourists was one of the best parts of the homestay. Carmen is a talented cook and she will modify her meal plans to accommodate your preferences! I rate my homestay in Carmen's home - for 2 1/2 months - as one of the best parts of my experience of Spanish immersion in Cartagena! Thank you, Carmen!
