Hi my name is Julie and my partner is Gary.We live approximately 2.5 miles from the city centre. The bus stop is a five minute walk from our house and the buses run every ten minutes to the city centre and it takes approximately 15 minutes to get in to town by bus. We are close to both leicester Uni, Demontfort Uni and leicester City Council. Within a ten minute walk from our house there is a leisure centre with a Gym and a pool, a supermarket, Chemist and various take a ways and restaurants. We are a couple with three children (all of which are now adults) one daughter (age 20) still living at home. Our eldest daughter is married and lives close by with her husband and children and our son lives with his partner here in leicester. We enjoy socialising with friends and family and enjoy getting involved in the many diverse festivals and events that leicester has to offer. I work for the NHS as a safeguarding trainer. Gary is a landscape architect. Gary is a keen artist and enjoys spending his spare time painting and drawing and he is also a keen musician and plays guitar and sings. I enjoy good food and like to try cooking foods from different nationalities. I also enjoy art, cycling and walking. We have a property in France that we try to visit as often as possible. We have single room available for homestay guests, it is small but very comfortable and cosy. Our current listing is for bed only however for breakfast guests are welcome to help themselves to tea/coffee, cereal, milk and fresh fruit. Guests are free to use our kitchen to prepare their own meals and some fridge and freezer space will be provided. We are a relaxed and easy going family who love meeting new people and having new experiences. We host guests both via this website and via a student placement scheme with leicester University.We have hosted students from Japan, France, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Panama, Korea, China and England and have had some lovely experiences and made some life long friends.
