It is a large and beautiful colonial house, very bright and fresh, which preserves the colonial floors of the era in which it was built. It is located just 50 meters from Baracoa Cathedral, Central Park, Casa de la Trova, Cubatur Travel Agency and the entire cultural center of the city, just 200 meters from the sea. The owners are professional and speak English. The house has a garden with flowers, private terrace and terrace with sea view for incredible moments of reading and delicious cocktails specially prepared by the owners. It offers two independent rooms, very spacious and modern, with privacy, air conditioning, refrigerator, private bathroom, hot and cold water 24 hours. The rooms have two beds each, a double bed and a single bed offering capacity for more than three people. Taxi services and professional guides are offered, which can be taken to various places of tourist interest, examples. Climb El Yunque mountain, visit Alejandro de Humbolt Park (biosphere reserve) with several trails where you can see endemic plants, Fauna, marine life, El Manatí, Polymitas, Etc, Yumuri and Toa boat trips, visits to the farmer's houses to observe the elaboration of chocolate and coffee, besides the plantations of these foods, Baños en rios, Waterfalls Beaches etc.

This casa is close to the cathedral and a wifi point. Edward and Yixel speak English very well and were able to give us a good explanation about the tours you can make in the Baracoa area. Bookings for tours go through Cubatours whose office is 15 meters away. Very practical. The room is clean and the breakfast is good and extensive with egg, fruit juice, bread, fruit etc. As we were confronted with heavy rainfall during our tour in the Humboldt parque National, we were unable to arrange a the next casa in Guardalavaca. Upon returning to the casa, Yixel had already arranged this casa in Guardalavaca for us plus a cheap collectivo (a big Cadillac from 1956) to go from Holguin to Guardalavaca for 10 CUC which is far below the price for this distance. So, we can recommended this casa.

Edward's family and his house are simply amazing! The family members are warm, friendly and helpful. The house has a central location, it only takes 30 sec to get to the casa de la Trova where you can dance the night away;) the house is super clean and the family will offer you a filling and delicious breakfast! Highly recommended.

Really nice people and a perfect casa in the center of trinidad! A lovely breakfast and the owners where so helpful! If you go to Baracoa this is the place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights in Baracoa with Edward which was great. Edward & his wife picked up at the bus station, gave us tips of what to do and served a delicious breakfast in the morning. The house is also nice with a perfect location 20 meters from central square and a terrace overlooking the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay at casa 'La Catedral' a lot. Thanks to Edward and Yixel for welcoming us so kindly. Their casa is really lovely, they speak English fluently, our room was very nice, the breakfast was super (the chocolate milk delicious ;-) ). It was nice to be so near the central plaza and the casa de la Trova. Whenever we had a question, our hosts were delighted to help us. I definitely recommend this casa to whoever wants to stay in Baracoa.
