Bungalow at rear of house, the room size is or 10'x13' in the old scale. Very private, separate entrance, smoke detector connected to mains & RCD power points installed, fire extinguisher. The room has heating, WiFi and air-conditioning is available for hot summer days. Non smoking environment with friendly pets. Single father with two adolescents at home; soccer is our sport of choice. We regularly go on 4x4 trips across the state for both day trips and weekend camping. If there is room in the car you are welcome to come along. Some French is spoken by one member of the house. The interior of the house is cosy and made for feeling relaxed. Outside there is a large back yard with fruit trees, vegetable garden & soon there will be chickens with plenty of shade in the summer. Public transport is a little over 100m away and access to trains and trams is close by. Deakin uni is a 15 minute walk through the Gardiner creek reserve. All household members over the age of 18 have been checked and approved by the Department of Justice Victoria & provided with a current Working with Children's Card (WWCC) allowing student's under 18 to stay at residence in a safe and caring environment. Free wifi linen and towels provided toiletries can be arranged and bathroom is a shared facility. Room is keyed and deadlocked, windows have flyscreens. Smoking is permitted outside of buildings and away from entrances and windows.

I was glad I decided to stay with Konrad in Melbourne as he and his family made me very welcome. Konrad is very helpful and knows a lot about the area, Melbourne, Australia and the world and we had a lot of chats about many different things. The accommodation was just what I was looking for and was spacious and comfortable. As it is situated right next to the house the toilet and kitchen/fridge are easily accessible. It was nice to sit in the garden in the sun and have breakfast, dinner or tea. The bus stops at the end of the road and you can either go into Box Hill central for the shops, amenities or the train into the city or go the other way and get the tram into the city. The tram stop is only a 15 minutes walk from Konrad's to Wattle Park. I would fully recommend anyone to stay with Konrad and his family. Thanks for the great time Konrad.
