Host confirmed my stay. "Hello Lauren . I saw your ticket , you seems to be arriving in Havana at 15 : 55 pm . I will be waiting for you at the apartment . Remember the address is as follows..." I arrived shortly after straight from the airport, only to find no one home. Stayed in the street with my bags until I could find a neighbor to help find another place. Host then lied to homestay.com when I requested a refund of the booking fee. She told them that she was home, and that I arrived the following day. Unbelievable. I can only assume she found someone to give her more money for the room and just didn't want to deal with me. Don't take the risk of booking with her. There are honest, kind people in Cuba that won't leave you stranded in a foreign country.
