I'm a professional chef and have lived in Paris & Brazil. I prepare a full meal every night, and have hosted travelers and ESl students since 2011. As I'm welcoming strangers into my home, I only consider requests from guests who introduce themselves properly and have a profile picture. To reserve the room, I require a 50% deposit, with the balance paid the day before arrival. Guests pay any transfer fees. I try to keep my room booked, so I don't accept reservations more than a week or 2 in advance, and only open my calendar for 5 weeks. So the room may be available for longer than my calendar indicates-please ask! My price does include self-serve breakfast and a full-course dinner every night, and I also offer an optional Bento lunch for an additional charge. -Dinner is served when ready, between 7 & 8 pm. If you won't be home for dinner, please tell me the night before. This site's pricing is confusing, because although my price includes breakfast and dinner, the description defaults to "Please note that only a light breakfast is included in the room rate. All other meals will incur an additional cost." but it also says "INClUDED IN THE STAY Full Breakfast Half Board" Bottom line: dinner is included! lunch available at extra cost.

Michael is an amazing host father! He is very welcoming, helpful, and funny. I enjoyed his professional dinner and his jokes every night. There are some rules that people need to follow, but they are all acceptable and at least amount of rules to stay someone’s home. Also, his house’s basement is somewhat interesting. lol Although I stayed with Michael just for a week, I spent a great time there. Thank you!!
