La Casa Calvet es un homenaje al barroco catalán y está construido usando piedra de Montjuïc, con un uso espléndido del hierro forjado en los balcones.

Casa Calvet (1899) is a modernist-style building designed by Antoni Gaudí. It is one of Gaudí's first works and it was the first work that he designed and built in the Eixample district of Barcelona. The property has many modernist elements, such as the curved façade or the attic balconies, authentic fairytale creations. In 1900 the Barcelona City Council awarded him the prize for the best property of the year, the only award that Gaudí received during his lifetime. Casa Calvet is a tribute to the Catalan Baroque and is built using stone from Montjuïc, with splendid use of wrought iron on the balconies.
