This is a well equipped apartment, with a spacious living room, 2 bedrooms and a balcony facing an inner patio. Located in a quiet area, close to Plaça Espanya and the Magic Fountain.
This apartment has a well sized kitchen, perfectly equipped including a washing machine, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle and a microwave. The living room is spacious and has a sofa, TV, dining table and internet (WIFI). There is one bedroom with a double bed and one with 2 single beds (this bedroom does not have any windows). The bathroom is spacious and has a shower. There is air-con and WIFI internet in the apartment.
It is located on the second floor and there is NO lift.
For daily rentals: we only accept families or a couple, no groups of young people.
It is a basic and clean apartment, but don ´t expect luxury:-).
The Poble Sec neighbourhood lies immediately outside of the touristy Barcelona city centre. It stretches from Plaza España to the port, nestled between the bustling Avenida Parallel and the enormous park areas on Montjuïc, one of the city's many hills. The Poble Sec has managed to maintain its charm and authenticity better than most neighbourhoods.
The area is full of bars and restaurants that seem immune to the trendy makeovers so many central establishments have undergone in recent years. The neighbourhood's main pedestrian thoroughfare, Carrer Blai, is also lined with bars and restaurants as is the charming Plaza Sortidor. Children play on the streets, neighbours chat on doorsteps, families sit together over long lunches; life here has a communal and intimate feel that has all but disappeared from other parts of the city.
The Poble Sec also offers a wide range of cultural activities. Avenida Parallel was once the Broadway of Barcelona and still features several popular theatres such as the Apolo and the Victoria. In the upper part of the Poble Sec, at the foot of Montjuïc, lies the Teatre Grec, a wonderful open-air amphitheatre, and the Teatre Lliure-Mercat de les Flors complex, one of the city's most innovative cultural spaces. Another neighbourhood perk is the enormous Montjuïc Park where you'll find some of Barcelona's most important sports facilities, including the Olympic Stadium, a Botanical Garden and other beautiful green areas and two of the city's renowned museums, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), located in a spectacular palace overlooking the Plaza España. At the very top of Montjuïc, surrounded by lawns and pine forests, sits a fortress with a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
The apartment is located only 4 minutes from the metro stop of Paral.lel and 20 minutes from the famous Ramblas (walking).
