Stone house on a Greek island
Two story house on a quiet street in the center of Volissos Chios. Two km from the sea. Accessible by car. Fully remodelled in 2021 with respect to local architecture (wooden windows, marble countertops etc). New: roof, plumbing, electrical, kitchen cabinets, plaster in and out. New heat pump with fan coils for both floors provides hassle free, economical heating and cooling year round with much better quality of air than AC.
Volissos Is a traditional village in NW Chios with a diverse international community. Full time owners, not transient tourists. It has medical facilities, pharmacy, school, ATM, post office, bakery, restaurants, markets open year round, 2-5 minutes walk from the house. Internet quality for wireless and land line is as good as Athens. The sea is 2 km away and this side of Chios is one of the least developed in all of Greece with deserted beaches most of the year. There are three bars and beach bars too but they don't dominate the seaside as in other islands. The main city of Chios is 40km away, has a population of 45.000 and is active year round with university, hospital, harbor, airport with at least 3 flights a day.
