Historic house in trendy Melville
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom house with pressed tin ceilings and Oregon pine floors is situated in the heart of Melville, a vibey and centrally-located neighborhood of Johannesburg. The house is within easy walking distance of 7th Street, where you'll find Melville's trendy bars, restaurants, and coffee shops, as well as the Melville koppies nature reserve.
It's also a short Uber ride away from Joburg's major universities, Rosebank, the CBD, and Sandton.
Your stay will be interruption free with back-up power (for router, modem, lights and selected electrical outlets) and a back-up water supply. There are multiple WiFi access points over the house to ensure a stable connection no matter where you are.
The house features:
-A spacious main bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a dedicated workspace with a desk.
-A second bedroom / office with a desk, futon, and treadmill.
-A well-equipped kitchen with gas stove, espresso maker, and Nutribullet blender.
-A lounge with a TV, record player, and a fireplace for cold Joburg winter nights.
The house and garden are serviced weekly, including laundry. (There is also a laundry machine for your personal use)
Please note: a caretaker lives in the cottage behind the house with a friendly sausage dog.
