Ich habe meinen allerersten Home-Staying-Aufenthalt in diesem Sommer 2013 bei den Andersons verbracht. Zuerst wollte ich ja eigentlich zur Ostküste, habe dann aber freundlicherweise eine Einladung von den Andersons nach Minnesota bekommen. Dies war für mich die beste Entscheidung, welche ich treffen konnte. Ich kann gar nicht sagen, wie sehr glücklich die Zeit für mich war, welche ich bei den Andersons verbracht habe. Die Andersons waren einfach immer da, ich war vollkommen in die Familie integriert. Das Familienklima hier ist unbeschreiblich schön. Es fing schon mit dem freundlichen Empfang an, als Motoyo mich vom Flughafen abholte. Es war alles bestens organisiert. Motoyo hat mich zuerst in alles eingewiesen, was ich im Haus wissen mußte. Die Familie sitzt zum Breakfast, zum Lunch, zum Dinner zusammen. Sie kochen immer frisch. Es gibt superviele Gespräche zwischendurch, wir haben diskutiert, gelacht, gekocht, sind outside gewesen, haben zusammen eingekauft, haben Unternehmungen unternommen. Ich glaube, daß eine Familie nicht mehr für ihre Gäste dasein kann, als die Andersons es sind. Selbstverständlich habe ich den Andersons auch im Haus geholfen und sie auch gerne an unserem letzten Abend zum Essen in ein schönes Restaurant eingeladen. Das war kein Muß, ich habe es gerne gemacht. Ich habe soviel von den Andersons bekommen, daß ich nicht weiß, wie ich es zurückgeben kann. Ich habe mich integriert gefühlt in dieser amerikanischen Familie, es waren zwei Wochen des schönsten amerikanischen Familienlebens. Wir haben auch jede Menge erlebt außerhalb des Hauses. Manche mögen denken, daß Minnesota nicht so reich an Sehenswürdigkeiten sei. Das ist falsch. Ich hatte auch ein bißchen Sorge deswegen, und ich habe erlebt, daß man hier nicht nachkommt mit den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir waren an den Wasserfällen, in Naturparks, in der großen Mall of America, auf dem Mittelalter-Festival, in einem „Flatrate“-Restaurant. Wir haben ebenso Hausnachbarn besucht und ich war mit Motoyo beim Gottesdienst. Mit einem Wort: vollkommen integriert. Das war mir sehr wichtig hier, damit ich mein Englisch auf schöne Weise verbessern konnte. Wann immer ich alleine das Haus verlassen wollte, hat Motoyo mich dabei tatkräftig unterstützt. Ich wußte, welche Busse ich nehme mußte und hatte Motoyos Handy dabei in der Tasche für den Notfall. Mein Englisch hat sich hier stark verbessert. Ich kann nur eines sagen: Danke und nochmal Danke an Mark, Motoyo und Familie. Nie werde ich Euch dies vergessen. Selbstverständlich möchte ich gerne wieder hierhin zurückkommen. Last but not least möchte ich erwähnen, daß das Wetter hier in Minnesota optimal ist. Es ist nicht so heiß, wie es in Florida oder an der Ostküste sein mag. Es ist so, wir man sich einen wunderschönen, milden Sommer vorstellt. Hier sind auch viele tausend Seen, an denen man diesen Sommer toll genießen kann. I had the first homestaying of my life in this summer with the Andersons. First I wished to go to the east-coast, but then I got the friendly invitation by the Andersons from Minnesota. This was, I have to say, the best decision, I could do. I can’t say, how happy I have been all the time there, which I spent with the Andersons. They have integrated me fully into the family. The familiar atmosphere was so wonderful all the time. It begun with the welcome, when Motoyo picked me up from the airport. It was all organised at the best. At first then at home Motoyo showed me all, what I had to know in the home. The familiy meets for breakfast, lunch and for dinner. They cook everytime fresh meals. There are so much so interesting discussions the whole day long. We have discussed, laughed, cooked, have been outside, have shopping together, have underwent many things. I can not imagine, how a familiy could do more for a guest, could more welcome him as the Andersons. Of course I did also my work in the home and in the garden here. At the last day I invited the Andersons to a very nice restaurant. I liked it so much to do that. I got so much from the Andersons that I don’t know, how to give it back. I have felt so integrated in these american family; it was over two weeks, two weeks of the most beautiful american familiy-life. Of course we did a lot of things outside the house. Some people would think, that Minnesota wouldn’t be rich on sightseeings and possibilities. That is completely wrong. I have to say, that I also worried, that Minnesota wouldn’t be rich in sightseeings and possibilities. And then I have got so much of them. We had been at the waterfalls, in nature parks, in museums, in the big Mall of America, on the middle aged festival, in a „flat rate“-restaurant. (That was funny. The banana pudding, so much you want – whow!) Also we visited the neighbours – the girl next door –, and I visited with Motoyo a devine service. With one word: fully integreted. This for me was the most important thing, ’cause I could practise my english well. Whenever I wanted to go alone outside, Mo supported me in any way. I knew which busses I had to take, and Mo’s Handy was in my bag for the „emergency case“. My english has become better and better in this time by all these practice. I can only and I have to say: Thank you and thank you again, Mark and Motoyo with kids. I will never forget that. Gladly I will come back. Last but not least I want to say, that the weather in Minnesota is best for me, me from Germany. It isn’t so hot, like maybe in Florida or at the east coast. Here there is also the county of thousand lakes, where you can enjoy wonderful, balmy summers.

Actually I did not come to Min. University, USA for certain reasons, but Mark's family seems to be very nice, they kept communicating and asking about my needs in the State and about many things regarding my education. they realyy cared about myself and father. I must SAY they are very nice family even if I did not stay with them
