Mary and Joel welcome you to their home in Havana's lively Vedado district. Two comfortable rooms awaits you, one with a double bed and the other with two personal beds, refrigerator, AC, safe box, and newly renovated private bathrooms. Our apartment is a fourth-floor walk-up, spacious with a small balcony, two blocks from the bustling Calle 23. Autobuses and collective taxis along this major transit route can take you to fascinating Old Havana in less than 15 minutes. Just ask us how to use the system, and you'll save a lot of money by not having to take taxis! Vedado has a long history of being one of the earliest and most attractive districts in the city, with many beautiful old mansions and gracious tree-lined avenues such as the Avenida de los Presidentes, and Paseo. It is also the culture district, with several large and small theatres along linea, and the grand Teatro Nacional, near to the Plaza de la Revolucion. The historic Necropolis de Colon, with its spectacular main gate and elaborate mausoleums, is also worth a visit.
