Welcome to Kanazawa, Japan's secret mini Kyoto. My cat and I live in a renovated machiya (traditional townhouse) built during the 1920's, Taisho period. The house has many modern conveniences such as a shower room air heater/cooler and bidet in the restroom. I myself work as an English teacher and volunteer with a NPO while it's the cat's job to be cute but he is very shy around new people. His name is Kiki. Kanazawa has the best of small city living with a nightlife, important cultural sites, best garden in the country; and the outdoors with beaches, water park, ski slopes, hiking.. all easily accessible. My house is located near Kanazawa Station, Omicho Market and Higashi Chaya! The area is very convenient so check out the location tab for more information. As your host I will support you with recommending interesting places, pinpointing important locations, and if you're having difficulties I'm here to help. If you're studying Japanese let's converse in mostly Japanese! luggage delivery receiving up to a day before the reservation is ok. For long term guests staying more than a month, package delivery before move-in is fine. Contact me in advance before sending luggage and packages so that timing can be set.
