If you are headed to Barcelona and want your stay to be as cool as possible, we might have the ideal spot for you to call home - this apartment in the El Clot neighbourhood. Here, you will be living close to several parks and be in proximity with transport links which can connect you to the city centre. Close to this accommodation, you will find a couple of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. This apartment has four bedrooms, one bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. In short, a cool place set within reach of everything you might need for this awesome adventure! Note that there is a mandatory monthly cleaning fee to pay directly to the landlady of 20 euros.

Although both the room and entire apartment were as nice as they looked like on the pictures, I am definitely NOT SATISFIED about my stay here. If you are a student and looking forward to a fully pleasant experience in Barcelona, this might not be the right place for you. You must know that you will be living in the apartment with the landlady herself. Paying €580 per month is just too much for what you get. On top of that, the landlady asks an extra €20 per month outside the contract, for what she calls ‘cleaning costs’. These cleaning costs don’t make sense, especially because the entire house was insanely dusty. When I told the landlady that this extra €20 wasn’t written in the contract, she continued forcing me to pay it by texting me all day. This didn’t stop until I asked Uniplaces for help. After this, she continued forcing my housemates to pay. Whenever I wanted to hang out with my housemates in the living room, I often couldn’t because the landlady was watching tv there. If she wasn’t in the living room watching tv, we had to be totally quiet after 22:00u, even in the weekends. There were also a couple of other rules. One of them was that I had to let her know when a friend would come over, even if it was just for 10 minutes. One Friday, I invited my friends to drink something at my place. But soon the landlady became really mad at me and I had to send my friends away. She has always been really controlling. Because of all these things, it was extremely unpleasant to live there. I always felt tension in the house, and it hasn’t felt like home at all. Another aspect is that from where the apartment is located, you still need to cycle 15/20 minutes to get to the centre. All of this was definitely not how I had imagined my Barcelona-experience to be.
