I am a creaky 75 year old who stayed in Lucy's apartment for 3 nights before travelling on to South Korea. Lucy is a lovely lady. Instead of just telling me how to get to the metro station, she took me to the station, lent me a loadable metro card and showed me how to use it. She also advised me on places to visit and wrote out destinations in Chinese in case I needed to ask for directions. Lucy introduced me to a local cafe and advised me where to buy food and where to draw out cash. Breakfast was always great and tailored to my diet. On my last full day she invited me to share with her and her friend a visit to a fantastic horticultural exhibition and, finally, she insisted on accompanying me on the first leg of my onward metro journey to the airport. To sum up - a privilege to be invited into her home. Don't expect luxury but DO visit her if you want to experience the real China instead of being isolated from reality in an hotel.

Lucy was a wonderful host. I only had three nights in Beijing, and by communicating ahead of time what I wanted to see, we were able to cover a lot of ground. Lucy even bought my bullet train ticket to Shanghai ahead of time. I would recommend staying with her to anyone looking for an authentic in-home experience.

Lucy was a very good hostess and extremely helpful. Her top floor apartment in Chaoyang is close to both bus and subway routes. As a vegetarian, I was immensely grateful that she cooked lovely Chinese meals for me. yang

I liked my host Lucy...she is a very warm lady who is very helpful. :) She came to pick me up when i arrived in Beijing and she made me breakfast every morning and dinner if I was around. I felt so spoiled... She also guided me on how to travel around the city and even went with me to get my Chinese SIM card. Also liked the chat we used to have everyday. Highly recommend her to everyone who wants to visit Beijing.

I stayed with Lucy over the summer for three months while I was interning in Beijing and it was a wonderful experience. Lucy's apartment is very spacious and it is also very convenient as it is located right next to the subway! Lucy was an amazing host and I enjoyed talking to her about her family's life experiences, politics in general, and daily life events. Also, Lucy always made sure that I was eating plenty of fruits and vegetables which was great and her cooking is fantastic. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I hope that I will be able to stay with Lucy again once I come back to Beijing!

Appartement très bien situé, non loin de l’aéroport et proche du métro. Hôte très agréable et très arrangeante. Lucy nous a aidé pour les réservations des visites car il faut avoir un compte WeChat pour pratiquement tout achat. Quartier tranquille, location possible dans maison à 6 km de Pékin pour un nombre de personnes supérieur à 6. En résumé pour une première approche de Pékin c’est parfait.

I can warmly recommend Lucy's apartment if you are looking for a great homestay. Her twin room was cozy, clean and contained air-conditioning. Lucy is also a very helpful and kind hostess. Apart from picking me from the Beijing Airport and transporting my luggage to my university, she cooked delicious breakfasts for me, helped me get my Chinese SIM card and, overall, made my first steps and settling in Beijing much easier!
