Estamos situados en el centro de Katmandu con la mayor parte de los sitios de la herencia de la UNESCO y el centro turístico de Thamel en distancia que camina. Mi casa todavía está de la carretera principal con los parientes y las familias extensas que viven alrededor. Eso le hace una caja fuerte, menos ruidoso y dando la bienvenida al lugar con más ocasiones de la inmersión cultural y conociendo la vida familiar nepalesa. Vivo con mis 6 años de la hija del suegro y el marido de Anna que dirige p ltd de iTourNepal.com de una compañía del viaje “. ” Funciono con un preescolar en la vecindad con mis otros socios de dos mujeres. Tenemos tan definitivamente porciones de historias a compartir y de actividades para implicarle. La casa es un edificio concreto de 12 años con un frente del ladrillo rojo. Nuestra vecindad y la casa se colocaban fuertes durante el terremoto de abril de 2015. Aunque tengo una pequeña yarda, hay un montón de árboles y flores. Hemos adoptado una forma de vida respetuosa del medio ambiente. Utilizamos tan menos plásticos y abonamos la basura biodegradable. Utilizo el abono para crecer verduras en el tejado. Tenemos agua calentad... a por el sol y para las luces de respaldo. Filtramos el agua de lluvia y la cosechamos. Apenas tenemos 3 cuartos asignados para las huéspedes del homestay. Pero nos estamos ampliando a la vecindad como homestay de la comunidad. Creo en hacer cumplir una forma de vida respetuosa del medio ambiente con el turismo. Todos los cuartos tienen un cocinilla y un cuarto de baño atado. Las huéspedes del Homestay pueden unirse a nos en la cocina y aprender hacer la cocina nepalesa.

I had an amazing time staying with Kopila and the family. I stayed for 6 weeks and was sad to leave at the end. The family are very welcoming and helpful, we enjoyed some evenings out together and chatted every morning. The breakfast is the best in Kathmandu. The room was spacious and could have accommodated more people at a very reasonable rate. It is located very close to the main tourist area but far enough away that it is a local area with very friendly locals and no touts approaching you. I couldn't recommend this place enough and hope to come back to stay in the future.

Kopila is a very busy woman managing household, homestay, 2 children and working fulltime. She was very accommodating and made me feel right at home. Her whole family and friends/helpers that were there made time to explain things to me and show me temples and advise what else is worth seeing. I am very happy my first few days in a new country was spent with her and her family. If you are considering it just do it. You have your own kitchen for cooking but also have breakfast and dinner in her kitchen if you like. Special moments included listening to one of her children reading Peter Pan to me before dinner and making momo. Also the food was delicious. Thanks Kopila, family & friends for your hospitality. Best introduction to Nepal!

What a wonderful time at your homestay. Plenty of space, privacy, all amenities that can be desired and always a supporting family. This is Kopila’s Homestay in Kathmandu. Close to Thamel but still a place to enjoy the bird’s singing in the morning. Thank you for these unforgettable hours. Raju

I had a wonderful time in the home of Kopila und Robin and there two children. They are very nice and helpful people. I got best breakfast and dinner and had many good, trustful and interesting talks. They also invited me to a wedding in the family and helped me very much to orientate myself in kathmandu. Wow, what an amazing home to be welcomed into- thank you. Kopola and her family went out of their way to ensure my son and I were welcomed and eased into life in Kathmandu.
